A new musical of the classic film It's A Wonderful Life, is being planned for the West End.
Frank Capra's 1946 movie starring James Stewart, is being turned into a £7 million musical by producer Jon Thoday, of the controversial hit show Jerry Springer - The Opera.
He is working with Steve Brown, who wrote the award-winning Spend Spend Spend. The opening date, cast and theatre for the new show is yet to be announced.
Last week two dozen singers performed at a workshop for theatre owners and potential investors for the project.
