Prince Harry has often been seen tumbling out of Soho clubs but he can now be permanently found in an unexpected location — posing topless at Charing Cross gay club Manbar.
The larger-than-life mural is the work of homoerotic artist Mikes Bliss.
Chris Amos, Manbar’s marketing director, says Harry has proved tremendously popular since the bar opened earlier this month: “People want to stand in front of him and take pictures to put on Facebook.”
Gay magazine QX named Harry a gay icon back in 2010 but Amos says the Prince’s popularity goes back much further. “It probably began when we started seeing him in his army uniform. He’s a real man — he’s cheeky and sexy but he’s also decent. That’s what makes him a role model for us, as well as being a gay icon.”
