Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner have revealed they are each other’s “protectors” and are so close people mistake them for a couple.
The duo play sisters Arya and Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones — and are best friends off screen.
In an interview with Glamour UK, which marked their first joint cover magazine shoot, Turner, 23, said: “Maisie is definitely my protector and I’m hers too.
"I know if anything happened she’d go crazy and protect me.”

Williams, 21, said: “Sophie really helped me through some messy break-ups and some friend break-ups.
"Whenever I’m like, ‘I need help! This is bigger than anything I can sort out on my own’, Sophie is my point of call.”
Turner is engaged to Joe Jonas while Williams is in a relationship with Ollie Jackson, whom she met at school. Nevertheless Turner said the pair are often mistaken for being an item. The duo admitted they sometimes sneak a kiss on set to “freak out” their Thrones co-stars. The final series of the hit fantasy show is out in April.

Williams will be speaking at Glamour’s Beauty Festival at the Saatchi Gallery from March 8-10.
