GENERAL Electric expects $3bn (£1.8bn) sales in China this year, chairman and chief executive Jeff Immelt said in Shanghai on Thursday at the opening of a $64m GE technology research centre. The company wants $5bn in sales and $5bn in procurement in China by 2005.
